Michael Mumma

As a chief executive officer at Blackstream®, Michael Mumma is responsible for the company’s residential and commercial real estate divisions. In addition, he oversees Blackstream® Property Management and Blackstream® Real Estate Academy. Under his leadership, Blackstream® has grown from its corporate office in Greenville to locations throughout the Carolinas under the SVN® and Christie’s International Real Estate affiliations.

Michael’s background has been focused on the real estate industry. A graduate of Clemson University, he spent his early career working for Armada Analytics. In that position, he underwrote over $1 billion in multifamily lending throughout the United States with a specific focus on affordable housing projects.  As Vice President for TD Bank, he reviewed and managed a portfolio of real estate-backed collateralized loans across small business sectors throughout the Southeast.

In 2017, Michael joined Blackstream® as a real estate agent. Later, as a member of the management team, he took over as Managing Director of Blackstream®|Christie’s Residential Division. In 2021, Michael was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Blackstream® companies. And then, in 2022, he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Blackstream® including SVN®|Blackstream®, Blackstream®|Christie’s, and Blackstream® Property Management. Michael manages a sales team of over 100 agents and 15 employees throughout the Carolinas.  In 2021, Blackstream® companies sold over $700 million in real estate. 

Michael is focused on making Blackstream® the premier real estate brokerage in the Southeast.  With a goal of building relationships with staff, agents, clients, and business partnerships, Michael works to remain connected and to meet the needs of his team. He actively participates in meetings and activities that serve to reinforce the company’s culture of cooperation, connection, and a sense of community.
