I am a native of South Carolina and wouldn't have it any other way. I was born in Easley although we moved into the Greer area when I was still very young. Our family lived in a neighborhood named Sugar Creek, where I was raised alongside my older brother and younger sister. I attended Riverside High School for three years before graduating early to attend my parent's alma mater, where I began studying business as well as marketing. During my time in college, I met my lovely wife, Amanda, and we were married in June 1999. I finished my college education at the University of South Carolina, and then promptly proceeded to move in a completely different direction. My wife and I purchased a local business here in the upstate that involved the crafting, installation, and maintenance of primarily saltwater aquariums.
This was an interesting and innovative family business that we enjoyed running together with our two daughters, Morgan and Olivia, for a long time, but finally, the day came when my wife decided she wanted to go back into the medical field, and I too was looking for a change. I went into sales, working for a large corporation, where I excelled and thoroughly enjoyed customer interaction. I found myself more motivated and enthusiastic when working to help others achieve their goals. I spent large portions of my life striving to progress forward and build a better future for my family, and while that remains important, I can definitively say that true success is best accomplished when working on someone else’s behalf.
