The Pettigru Historic District

Nominated to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981 due to its varied architectural styles, the Pettigru Historic District is the largest historic district in Greenville. Located just east of Downtown, most of the buildings in this area were built between 1910-1930. Today Pettigru Historic District is a combination of both residential and commercial properties, with many residences having been converted into offices and bed and breakfasts.  In addition to close proximity to Downtown, this area also offers easy access to I-385, Bon Secours Wellness Arena, and Cleveland Park.
